Users
Users in the system have various capabilities and permissions that can be managed at both the organization (tenant) and individual level. This page explains the key concepts and features around user management.
User Management
Users can be added and managed through the settings panel. Each user has:
- Display name
- Email address
- Avatar (optional)
- Role-based permissions per organization
- Category-based access controls
Key Features
Xero Integration
- Only users who sign in with Xero will have special permissions to manage Xero-related settings and integrations
- Xero users can access and manage connections to multiple Xero tenants
Category-Based Access Control
Users can be restricted to viewing invoices from specific categories within an organization. This allows for fine-grained control over what financial information each user can access.
Notification Preferences
Users can be configured to receive notifications for:
- Disputes - When new disputes are created
- Urgent Actions - When immediate attention is required
Role-Based Permissions
Each user can have different roles in different organizations (tenants). This allows for flexible permission management across multiple organizations.
User Interface
The user management interface allows administrators to:
- Create new users
- Modify existing user permissions
- Configure notification preferences
- Set category access restrictions
- Enable/disable Xero integration permissions
